Importing Procedures

They are described as procedures that the client must take into account when foreign goods are going to be entered legally to our country. The conditions required are specified before vessel’s arrival, during the stay and after the vessel’s departure.

48 Hours Before Vessel’s Arrival

Seals reception

Considering that sometimes the containers arrives without seals, due to some handling problems, the line representative should provide to our documents control office, the seals that are going to be used in their represented vessels. Once the vessel is departure, the not used seals should be returned within a list of used seals with corresponding container numbers.

24 Hours Before Vessel’s Arrival

Containers registered as direct in their agencies will be delivered from a differed stacking. The port agency should deliver the list of direct container inscription 24 hr before vessel’s arrival.

The consignee for not forced removal of dangerous cargo should provide a conditioned warehouse letter to ITI Risk Prevention offices, which will be submitted to Maritime Authorities by ITI. The letter should include the period of time that the cargo will be stored (no more than 72 hr, according to Maritime Authority current legislation) or direct removal will.

At Vessel’s Arrival

Documentation reception

Provide to ITI S.A., documents control office:

  • 4 copies of manifest numbered by Customs.
  • 2 copies of unloading containers list, by alphanumeric order, fold and endorsed by Customs.

24 Hr After Vessel’s Departure

Delivery Report

ITI S.A. will provide quantities and deficits report to the shipping agency obtained from creation and inspection of DRES against manifest, including DRES copies created and inspected manifest.
